چکیده
Abstract Background Even if pilot studies have been conducted to validate Intravascular Lithotripsy, most challenging cases were excluded, including unprotected Left Main (LM) coronary stenosis. Methods We retrospectively enrolled patients treated with IVL in a real–world multicenter registry from 21 centers among Italy and Spain January 2020 November 2021. The primary safety endpoint was freedom major adverse cardiovascular events (cardiac death, target vessel revascularization, stent thrombosis) at 30 days. effectiveness procedural success (defined as delivery residual stenosis <20% without intra–procedural MACE). Secondary 6–months 12–months MACE rates. Results From total amount of 470 our registry, 41 underwent LM Most them males (78.0%). clinical presentation acute syndrome (ACS) 41.4% cases. Mechanical circulatory support necessary 4 (9.7%). before implantation planned 90% occurred 97.6%. patients. achieved 97.6% Interestingly, 6 months 12 months, no recorded. Conclusions lithotripsy for the treatment severely calcified seems be safe effective option very high rate low follow–up.

متن کاملLeft main coronary artery stenosis.
Between 1 January, 1989, and 28 April, 1990, a total of 888 selective coronary arteriographies were performed at the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague. Of that number, 58 findings were assessed as at least 50% stenosis of the left main coronary artery (LCA). Having applied exclusion criteria, 50 patients (i.e., 5.63% of all those examined) were entered into a retrospect...

A retrospective study was carried out in 114 unoperated and 197 operated patients having left main coronary artery (LMCA) stenosis 2 50%. Including the operative mortality of 9.1%, survival at seven years was significantly greater following pure aortocoronary bypass graft surgery, 77.5% as compared to 48.5% for the unoperated patients (P < 0.01). The surgical mortality was significantly less du...

OBJECTIVES This study sought to evaluate the intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) minimal lumen area (MLA) for functionally significant left main coronary artery (LMCA) stenosis using fractional flow reserve (FFR) as the standard. BACKGROUND The evaluation of significant LMCA stenosis remains challenging. METHODS We identified 112 patients with isolated ostial and shaft intermediate LMCA stenosi...
متن کاملRotablation in the treatment of high-risk patients with heavily calcified left-main coronary lesions
OBJECTIVE Heavily calcified left-main coronary diseases (LMCA) remain a formidable challenge for percutaneous interventions (PCI). This study was to investigate the safety and efficacy of using rotational atherectomy (RA) in treating such lesions in actual practice. METHODS From February 2004 to March 2012, all consecutive patients who received RA for heavily-calcified LMCA lesions in our cat...
